Greenwich Botanical Center (GBC) was in the midst of a re-brand as a newly launched Bontanical Center. I planned and managed several special social media contest events to raise awareness and increase audience participation.
The Campaign: Hydrangea Envy Photo Contest
"Hydrangea Envy"was a photo contest run by the Greenwich Botanical Center (GBC) (GBC) to engage the community, showcase beautiful gardens, and promote horticulture, where residents submit photos of their hydrangeas for prizes like plants and garden consultations.
It's was a refreshing and fun way for the GBC re-brand, to connect with local gardeners, feature winners and celebrate vibrant hydrangeas in the Greenwich area and beyond.
A Photo Contest: Participants submitted photos of their hydrangeas (or even pets with hydrangeas!) on social media and to GBC to be judged online.
Community Engagement: It encouraged people to enjoy their own backyards and share their horticultural successes.
Prizes: Winners received hydrangea plants, gift shop certificates, and garden consultations from GBC.
Categories: Winners were chosen by public votes and for specific categories like "Adorable Pet in a Hydrangea" or "Best Travel Photo."
